I built Deane & Co. for women who are successful — and still not fully free.

I did everything right. MBA from Northwestern's Kellogg School. Multi-six figure salary. Climbing the ladder at Fortune 500 companies. From the outside, it looked like winning. From the inside, I knew that all of it depended on one source — and that meant I didn't have as many choices as it seemed.

I wasn't looking to quit everything. I was looking for enough financial confidence that my job stopped feeling like the only option I had. Trading gave me that.
